It looks like it won’t only be Tim Burton and Michael Keaton returning for the Beetlejuice sequel, as Winona Ryder has hinted at a return too.
We announced a few weeks back that Tim Burton was preparing to bring back “the ghost with the most” for a Beetlejuice 2 movie, with Michael Keaton reprising his role as well. Now it looks like Winona Ryder is returning to the fold too, thanks to an interview with The Daily Beast.
“I’m kind of sworn to secrecy, but it sounds like it might be happening,” confirmed the star in a recent interview with The Daily Beast, before going on to explain how the sequel would play out.
“It’s not a remake, it’s 27 years later,” explains Ryder. “And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later. I would never go near it if it was not Tim and Michael,” says Ryder. “Because those guys, I love.”
Beetlejuice has a huge cult following and a sequel with all three attached will definitely be welcomed. Will more stars from the original jump on board too? Mostly Alec Baldwin and Gina Davis?
