It looks like Tim Burton has made some adjustments to his busy schedule in order to direct a sequel to the 80’s fantasy comedy Beetlejuice.
According to Schmoes Know sources, Tim Burton has rearranged his diary so he can make both Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and a sequel to the hit 80’s comedy Beetlejuice.
Beetlejuice was released in 1988 and starred Alec Baldwin and Gena Davies as a married couple who accidently die in a car accident. Now ghosts, the pair try to fend off a family (which consists of Winona Ryder amongst others) who have just purchased their old home. They have trouble trying to spoke the new buyers away, so have little option than to hire Betelgeuse – played by a brilliant Michael Keaton.
The script for the sequel is apparently excellent and, if Tim Burton and Michael Keaton return, this is one film we really want to see. Beetlejuice 2 will also be a true sequel – set 26 years after the original.
