The Headless Horseman is back in Sleepy Hollow and in search of his skull. It’s up to Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills to try and stop him. Sleepy Hollow episode 7 review right here.
Episode 7 of Sleepy Hollow starts off as a mystery and becomes an exciting game of cat and mouse. Crane visits the house of the Freemasons, only to find his masonic brothers beheaded. Apparently, Death visited them to find his head and an ancient manuscript that has instructions on how to defeat him.
Mills asks Captain Irving (Orlando Jones) for permission to destroy the skull and, after some convincing, agrees. He visits the lab where the skull is being tested and comes face-to-face with the horseman for the first time – which helps him obviously realise that everything that Crane had told him in the past was real.
We have a humorous scene featuring both Mills and Crane trying to dispose of the cranium with no avail. They use sledge hammers, grenade, acid and more, but nothing works.
This episode also sees the return of John Cho’s character Andy Brooks – a police officer who was killed my Moloch in the first episode and continues to do his and Death’s work. Here he approaches Morales and warns him to stay away from Mills as he is trying to help and protect her. We are not sure if Brooks is bluffing though, but I’m sure we will find out soon.
After some more investigating, they find the manuscript online and, once Crane has figured out the code, they set up a trap to try and capture Death.
Another great episode for Sleepy Hollow. The thrills and comedy moments are perfectly balanced, as is the chemistry between the both Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie. Sleepy Hollow episode 7 also finishes on a cliffhanger, so we cannot wait to see what happens in the next instalment.
