Ryan Gosling is all set to star, produce and direct in a biopic based on the Hollywood director and musical choreographer Busby Berkeley.
According to The Wrap, Ryan Gosling has signed on to produce a film based on Busby Berkeley, and is in deep negotiations to star and direct the movie too. The film is based on the biography Buzz: The Life and Art of Busby Berkeley by Jeffery Spivak.
Berkeley, who died in 1976, was the man who directed Babes on Broadway, They Made Me a Criminal, Comet over Broadway, The Gang’s All Here and The Go-Getter.
Gosling has been mostly playing broody anti-heroes as late, thanks to his turns in Drive and Only God Forgives. He gained a huge (mostly female) following after starring in The Notebook.
More on the Busby Berkeley movie, when we have it.
