He is the droid we are looking for. Everybody’s favourite beeping bucket R2D2 is back for Star Wars Episode VII.
All set to start filming in May at Pinewood Studios, Star Wars Episode VII has fans’ excitement going into hyper drive. Little has been released in terms of solid news, but we do know that the JJ Abrams film will see the return of R2D2 – the lovable droid. He is the first character to be confirmed. 
We have heard that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will return alongside many new faces, but no official release confirming has come from the studio as yet.
We do know that Episode VII will be set thirty years after Return of the Jedi. Which of course makes sense, seeing as the film came out a little over thirty years and that’s how much the main actors have aged by.
