Apparently Jeffrey Katzenberg offered $75 million for three more Breaking Bad episodes. More after the break.
Here is a quote from the CEO of DreamWorks Animation:
“I had this crazy idea. I was nuts for the show. I had no idea where this season was going,” said Katzenberg. “The last series cost about $3.5 million an episode. So they would make more profit from these three shows than they made from five years of the entire series. I said [to them], ‘I’m going to create the greatest pay-per-view television event for scripted programming anybody’s ever done.'”
I think I, and other Breaking Bad fans would just like to say this to Jeffrey Katzenberg …. Yo, BITCH! don’t be so greedy. PPV …. this is 2013. It’s time to embrace new platforms like Netflix. If you read the entire Variety article he apparently wanted to charge $1 for every 6 minutes. What a …. yeah.
