Hugh Jackman will be donning the adamantium claws once again, as he and James Mangold are to make The Wolverine 2.
According to Deadline, both Jackman and Mangold are in talks to reunite for The Wolverine 2 – a sequel to this year’s movie.
Jackman has played the Marvel superhero in seven movies to date – X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, Wolverine: X-Men Origins, X-Men: First Class, The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past. The Wolverine will make it an incredible 8 movies.
This year’s The Wolverine made $413 million in the box office worldwide, making it the second most successful film in the X-Men franchise, just behind X-Men: The Last Stand on $459 million.
After the lacklustre Wolverine: X-Men origins, James Mangold’s The Wolverine was a great return to form, which saw Logan travel to Japan, only to get involved in a fight with ninjas, Viper and The Silver Samurai.
