Movie megastar Will Smith will team-up with director Shawn Levy for the 20th Century Fox project The City That Sailed.
Although he may have had a flop with After Earth alongside his son Jaden, Will Smith is still very much a bankable movie star. Rumours are circulating that he will return to the role of Captain Steven Hiller in Independence Day 2, which is being released in 2016 – 20 years after the original hit the big screens.
Before that though, he will star in The City That Sailed for 20th Century Fox. The plot will be based around a man and his daughter whose bond is tested when the island of Manhattan in New York breaks loose and sails across the Atlantic Ocean.
Will Smith will also produce the film with his producing partner James Lassiter. Director Shawn Levy is mostly known for making the Hugh Jackman starrer Real Steel, as well as Date Night and The Watch. He will be directing Ben Stiller in Night at the Museum 3.
More on this when we have it.
