As we expected, Thor 3 looks like it is moving forward with momentum as two screenwriters have been hired to come up with the story.
We predicted that Thor 3 would be coming sooner rather than later, now it looks like we were right and that a Thor 3 film would take a spot in Marvel’s upcoming Phase 3. Marvel have hired Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle to pen a script.
Yost was one of the writers of Thor: The Dark World, while the third Thor film will be Kyle’s first live action film, having worked with Yost previously on the animated movie Hulk vs.
Kevin Feige, who is the president of Marvel Studios, gave the following statement.
“I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years. His creative instincts have helped shape Thor and Thor: The Dark World at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor’s adventure.”

If you remember, Thor: The Dark World finished on a cliff-hanger – Loki wasn’t dead and was mimicking Odin whilst sat on his throne. Meanwhile, Thor had moved to Earth to be with Jane Foster, unaware that his father was in trouble and that his brother was still alive.
We expect this story will continue in the third outing and we can’t wait to see what happens.
