Simon Pegg to join up with Monty Python for new movie

Simon Pegg will be joining most of the guys at Monty Python comedy troupe and Robin Williams for the new movie by Terry Jones – Absolutely Anything.

Having already announced their new stage show for next year, the Monty Python collective will also be keeping busy with the movie Absolutely Anything. Terry Jones will be directing the film which sees a teacher experiences a series of mishaps after discovering he has magical powers.

Simon Pegg, who found fame in the television series Spaced and the films Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End and the Star Trek reboots, will play the teacher. simon pegg

Eric Idle is the only Monty Python comedian who declined on the project, the rest including John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and Michael Palin will provide their voices to a series of characters. Of course, Graham Chapman sadly passed away in the 80’s so he is obviously not involved too.

Pegg is said to be very excited about the project.

“As someone whose love of comedy was hugely informed by Monty Python, the chance to work with Terry was a gift. Meeting your heroes is one thing – working with them is something else.”
