Fox had stated that an untitled Ridley Scott movie was to be released in March 2016, well that movie is none other than a sequel to Prometheus.
According to reports, Michael Green (The Green Lantern) will write the Prometheus 2 script based on an original screenplay by Jack Paglen. Rumours state that the sequel will be more dark and tense like that of Alien, and will feature many David androids – so expect to see Michael Fassbender on screen everywhere. 
Prometheus was set before Alien and featured Noomi Rapace as an astronaut/archaeologist who was searching for an alien race that became the creators of humankind. Things obviously took a turn for the worse, as our favourite Xenomorphs were also created.
The Alien series is one of the most beloved in movie history; from the haunted house type scares of Alien and Alien 3 to the full on action horror of Aliens – fans love the universe. Let’s hope than Prometheus 2 is another great instalment.
