Paul Haggis to write The Juliet

Paul Haggis has signed on to write the screenplay for The Juliet – a movie based on the short story Fondly Fahrenheit by Alfred Bester.

He has been the guy behind some fantastic screenplays in recent years. Paul haggis wrote such gems as Casino Royale, Million Dollar Baby and Flags of our Fathers, as well as directing and writing Crash and In the Valley of Elah. Now, Paul Haggis is to do a treatment for The Juliet.

According to Empire Magazine, the plot behind The Juliet “involves a rich, psychologically unstable playboy who projects his personality into his murderously malfunctioning pet android.”

The film is to be directed by Rupert Sanders. He made Snow White and the Huntsmen and was recently announced as the guy to bring Ghost in the Shell to the big screens, yet it seems The Juliet will come first, along with another project – a biopic on Napoleon.

Whichever comes first, we are looking forward to all three movies. More when we have it.
