Check out this Naruto Shippuden episode 338 review, originally posted on JamieMe.com, after the break. As always, this review contain spoilers about the episode listed.
338 didn’t feature much action, but it was actually quite a good episode content wise. We got to see the, somewhat confusing, explanation of the Izanagi and Izanami techniques. It turns out that Izanami was created to stop Izanagi, which would otherwise be unstoppable. Though, Izanami isn’t without flaw. If a trapped victim accepts whatever fate they are destined for, they escape.
On a side note, the episode featured quite a heavy focus on Kabuto accepting he isn’t perfect. Damn, was like a dig at me in parts. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve had to accept making mistakes as part of my OCD rehab. I feel for you Kabuto!
Self reflection aside, this episode featured some deep food-for-thought within the Naruto universe and our own. I often like fantasy story lines that feel like they are trying to tell me something related to reality. Also, Sasuke is such an annoying character. It’s like his ears are closed and he doesn’t understand anything but ‘must kill for vengeance’. Naruto, seriously, slap this dude.
Last but not least for this review, it seems that Itachi has undone the reanimation jutsu. This has, in-turn, taken us to the big showdown with Mr.Nobody. Things are going to get INTERESTING, and I cannot wait to see this battle. I have my suspicions of who the masked man is … let’s just say it would be epic if I am right.
Final thoughts:
An episode deep on intriguing philosophies, and even more evidence that Sasuke doesn’t learn a damn thing; ever!
