It seems like a new Star Wars episode VII rumour explodes on a daily basis, but this one has made us sit up. Adam Driver could be the villain in next year’s blockbuster.
Withhis scene-stealing turns in Girls, Inside Llewyn Davis and Lincoln, Adam Driver was already hotly-tipped for huge heights, now it looks like he may be in-line to play the villain in the new Star Wars movie. Both Disney and Lucasfilm have declined to comment on the casting, but the rumours seem strong. 
Variety, who were the first to announce the possible casting, have not stated that it is official as yet, but Adam is likely to be close to signing the contract.
Star Wars VII is to be directed by the talented lover of lens flares JJ Abrams. The film doesn’t even have a full title yet (not announced anyway), but it is set to start filming in Pinewood studios in the next month, so expect a heap of news to be incoming.
