Tom Hiddleston signs on for Guillermo’s CRIMSON PEAK

September 7, 2013 By Carl Burgess Leave a Comment

Loki himself has signed on for Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, as Tom Hiddleston replaces Bendict Cumberbatch in the haunted house film.

It was announced earlier in the week that Cumberbatch would not be starring in Crimson Peak, much to the dismay of fans. They needn’t worry though, as the ever-rising Hiddleston has stepped up to replace.

Many actors are looking to work with del Toro, due to his extraordinary resume that contains the Hellboy films, Pacific Rim, Pan’s Labyrinth and Blade 2. Crimson Peak will feature such heavyweights as Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam.

Although not much is known regarding the film, it is believed to be based around the character Edith Cushing (Wasikowska) and her husband, who is not who she originally believed to be.

We know nothing of Hiddleston’s character yet. He may play Edith’s husband or another, as yet unannounced, character.

More on this when we have it.
