Due to the immense success The Lego Movie is currently receiving, Warner Bros. have already set a date for The Lego Movie 2.
Critics and fans have praised The Lego Movie and box office receipts have already shown that the movie will go on to huge things. Not looking to miss an opportunity, Warner Bros. have announced that The Lego Movie 2 has already been booked in for a May 26 2017. 
Three years may seem like a long time to wait, but it will soon come round.
Warner Bros. have signed Michelle Morgan and Jared Stern to write the screenplay, the latter you may know from penning Mr Pooper’s Penguins, which starred Jim Carrey.
“The Lego Movie” is the first project to emerge from the Warner Bros. animation consortium. “Lego” is produced by Dan Lin and Roy Lee, with Chris Lord and Phil Miller directing with voices by Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Neeson, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Morgan Freeman. Most of the animation was produced by Australia-based Animal Logic.
