Stephen Lang will return for all three sequels to Avatar according to a press release courtesy of director James Cameron.
2009 saw Avatar blow away all competition to become the biggest grossing film of all-time. The movie saw Sam Worthington try to bring peace to a planet whilst trying to stop his superior Colonel Miles Quaritch – played by Stephen Lang.
Although Quaritch was killed (or so we thought) by taking three arrows to his chest, he will return for Avatar 2, 3 and 4 according to James Cameron.
“Steven was so memorable in the first film, we’re privileged to have him back. I’m not going to say exactly HOW we’re bringing him back, but it’s a science fiction story, after all. His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who’s also become a good friend.”
As we reported earlier this week, The Avatar sequels will start filming in October 2014 according to star Sam Worthington.
