Well, we never saw this one coming. Warner Bros. have decided to give us a sequel to Space Jam, with LeBron James as the star.
Released back in 1996, Space Jam was a decent sized hit as it combined animation and live action like that of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The movie starred basketball legend Michael Jordan as he played alongside the likes of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Taz to take on a team of aliens intent on invading the planet.
Now, a sequel is being prepared with LeBron James as the main star to act alongside the cartoon creations.
The original movie made $230 million worldwide and had a number one song by R Kelly in I Believe I Can Fly.
Can a sequel repeat the success of the first? Only time will tell.
