Rumours are circulating regarding the post-credits scene for the upcoming Marvel film Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The tradition of having a post-credits scene in a Marvel film has been one to look forward to for every fan. Starting when Nick Fury paid Tony Stark a visit at the end of Iron Man to tell him about the Avenger Initiative, post-credit scenes have been an important part of the Marvel Universe.
The end of Thor: The Dark World had two scenes. The first being the Aether being given to The Collector, which in turn will lead into the Guardians of the Galaxy. The second scene saw Thor returning to Earth to be with his Jane.
Now, rumours have hit regarding the scenes that end Captain America: Winter Soldier. Apparently, they will feature the debut of Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch.
The brother/sister duo will star in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but the adition of them into the post credits scene is a wise one. Not only will it introduce the characters to fans of the cinematic universe, but it will also help the studio get one over those involved in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Both Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch come under both Mutant and Avenger, seeing as they have been part of both The Avengers and The X-Men in the past, so no studio owns the characters outright and either can use them.
Seeing as X-Men is due out in March, and The Avengers’ sequel out in 2015, by putting Quicksilver in the post-credits scene, they will beat the X-Men film by showing their quicksilver in action first.
Quite clever, if true.
