Kuroko’s Basketball episode 2 review

October 11, 2013 By Edmond Guy Leave a Comment

Check out our Kuroko’s Basketball episode 2 review. Another good episode? Find out after the break.

Kuroko's Basketball posterThe momentum is still going. The first episode made you want to play basketball, the second episode inspires you to shout off roof tops and …. wait, what? One scene in the episode sees the new basketball recruits, including Kagami declaring he will be the best player in Japan, shouting from a roof while other students listen on below.

This episode served as an opportunity to ground Kagami, who until now seemed pretty damn unstoppable, by introducing one of the “Generation of Miracles” (an elite group of players Kuroko played with). Needless to say Kagami gets beaten by a casually dressed Ryōta Kise. This brought back amusing memories of a similar encounter between two well known grapplers I once witnessed. Men and their egos!

The drama and comedy seem to blend well in this Anime. You have the tension of the game, the comedy of Kuroko always going unnoticed and Riko Aida’s unorthodox coaching style. All together makes for a great balance.

Another solid episode.

Note: We now have a Kuroko’s Basketball season 1 review online.
