After four Fast & Furious films, director Justin Lin is now set to take over and make the next installment in the Bourne series.
Justin Lin is an experienced action film director. After making four Fast & Furious movies, Lin bowed out of the seventh due to the film having such a quick turnaround – giving him little time to prepare and re-energize. 
Now, he is all set to take over as the director of the next Bourne film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be a sequel to 2012’s The Bourne Legacy, and will continue with the story of Aaron Cross played by Jeremy Renner.
The project doesn’t have a writer as yet, leaving time for Justin Lin to maybe get another project done in the meantime.
The Bourne series have been big business. Matt Damon brilliantly played Jason Bourne – a professional hitman with amnesia – in three films, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. As stated above, Jeremy Renner took the lead role in The Bourne Legacy.
