More details have emerged regarding the plot to the upcoming blockbuster Jurassic World, and that being it’s set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park.

Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow has stated that his upcoming movie will be set 22 years after the disaster of Jurassic Park. Answering a question on whether his film will be a reboot, he replied via Twitter.

‘Reboot is a strong word,’ he wrote on Twitter. ‘This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park.’ Jurassic world

John Hammond brought in a team of scientists and a lawyer to take a look at his incredible theme park in 1993, but the dinosaurs broke out and killed some of the group. It seems as though the park managed to get back on track and open its doors for the public in Jurassic World. No prizes for guessing that things will go wrong again though.

Trevorrow has gone on record saying that Jurassic World will feature a cool new dinosaur that he is excited about – could this be the underwater one paraded like Sea World?

Josh Brolin was rumoured to be heading to the film, but negotiations apparently broke down. Chris Pratt is now likely to take the main role, alongside Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson.

Jurassic World is set to open in 2015 – the year of the movie blockbuster.
