Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman just took a step closer to becoming a movie reality, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt has signed on to produce the adaption.
Published by DC Comics from 1989 to 1996, Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman is based around an entity called Demon. The graphic novel is only one of a few to make it onto the New York Times Best Sellers List.
It has been rumoured to be adapted a few times before, but now with Gordon-Levitt stating that he will produce and, maybe, even direct and star, the rumour could become a reality.
“Just to clarify, folks. I’ve signed on as a producer on Sandman. The rest remains to be seen. Delighted you guys are excited. I am too!” – What Gordon-Levitt Tweeted.
Gordon-Levitt starred in last year’s The Dark Knight Rises alongside Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and plenty more brilliant actors, so he is now no stranger to working on big comic book adaptions.
