Marvel’s Phase 3 is starting to fill out nicely. Rumours have come through that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is being lined up for a 2016 release.
Joblo are reporting that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is being lined up for a May 6th 2016 release. Although, this is just a rumour at this point and we shouldn’t take it as concrete until Marvel have announced the news themselves, especially since Guardians of the Galaxy hasn’t been released yet and we don’t know how well it will do at the box office. 
Phase 3 of Marvel’s cinematic universe starts next year with Ant-Man. It will then be followed up (we believe) by Captain America 3 and Thor 3. The addition of a Guardians of the Galaxy 2 makes total sense should they want to finish the phase with The Avengers: The Infinity Gauntlet and the Thanos storyline.
The next films to be released by Marvel are Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man.
