Even though Insidious: Chapter 2 has only just been unleashed upon audiences worldwide, Insidious 3 has already been given the green light.
Making a huge $41.1 million in its first weekend; Insidious: Chapter 2 is set to do some huge numbers. The first instalment did a great job at the box office too; taking $97 million on just a $1.5 million budget. 
It is believed that Leigh Whannell is hard at working writing the script, but expect a new director as James Wan has gone on record that he will step away from the horror genre in order to pursuit new projects. He is currently busy making Fast & Furious 7 with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson. Wan had made such recent classics as Saw, The Conjuring, Dead Silence and Insidious.
Wan’s horror films have been a breath of fresh air in recent years; causing chills and scares to people all over the world. It will be interesting to see who will take over for Insidious 3 if Wan definitely doesn’t come back.
