Gumball 3000 to be turned into a movie

October 1, 2013 By Carl Burgess Leave a Comment

It looks like Warner Bros and Chernin Entertainment will unite to make a movie based on the Gumball 3000 – a real race that hails from the UK.

Founded in 1999 by former race car driver Maximillion Cooper, the Gumball 3000 sees many different entrants each year participate in a race from one country to the next, and ending with a party each night of the event. Many celebrities have entered in the past, including Danny Dyer, David Hasselhoff, Tony Hawk, David Guetta and Cypress Hill. GumBall3000_logo_square

Next year’s race is set to start in Miami and finish in the Balearic island of Ibiza.

Chernin Entertainment are on a roll. This year saw them produce two hit movies in Oblivion and Heat. Oblivion starred Tom Cruise and was surprisingly good, whilst The Heat saw Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy team-up in a buddy cop comedy.

There is no news regarding cast or crew for the Gumball 3000 movie, but is sounds like it could be fun.
