Four actors in the running to play Doctor Doom

March 12, 2014 By Carl Burgess Leave a Comment

It seems that the makers of the Fantastic Four reboot have an idea as to who will play Doctor Doom, and it’s down to four actors.

We reported on the (strange) casting of the Fantastic Four just last week (Jamie Bell as Thing, anyone?). Now the team behind the movie have a list for who they want as Doctor Doom. Thank god they haven’t gone down the road of turning Doctor Doom into a female, which was rumoured recently. doctor doom

According to The Wrap, the four on the list are Toby Kebbell, Eddie Redmayne, Sam Riley and Domhnall Gleeson. Interestingly, all four are from the UK and Ireland.

Kebbell made a name for himself in the British film Dead Man’s Shoes. He has since made it big and moved onto such movies as War Horse, Wrath of the Titans, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Warcraft.

Redmayne played Marius in Les Miserables. He will next be seen in Jupiter Ascending.

Sam Riley, like Kebbell, is from Yorkshire, England. He played Ian Curtis in Control and was seen in Franklyn and Brighton Rock. He stars opposite Angelina Jolie in Maleficent.

Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson has been in some big movies already, including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2 as Bill Weasley. He also starred in the great film Dredd.

Who do you think it should go to?
