Fans of The Other Guys can rejoice, as it looks like Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will reunite for another movie – Daddy’s Home.
Daddy’s Home was originally going to be a film starring Ferrell and Vince Vaughn, but Vaughn left the project when director Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder) pulled out of directorial duties. This now gives us an opportunity to see Ferrell and Wahlberg share some screen time once again.
According to Deadline, Daddy’s Home will see he 46-year-old funnyman as a mild-mannered radio executive who is always striving to be a good stepdad to his wife’s two kids, while Wahlberg would take on the role of the their freeloading, bad-mannered biological father who becomes embroiled in a competition for their attention.
The film still hasn’t got a director in place as yet, but Sean Anders and John Morris are supposedly in talks to make the movie. Anders and Morris are the screenwriters of We’re the Millers and are close to finishing Horrible Bosses 2.
