Quite possibly the biggest action movie star in the world right now, Dwayne Johnson has signed on to battle demons in Seal Team 666.
Known by millions for his WWE persona The Rock, Dwayne Johnson is now a legitimate movie star – helping franchises such as G.I. Joe and Fast and Furious to gain millions at the box office. Now, Dwayne Johnson will play a Navy Seal and will go up against evil demons in a film based on Weston Ochse’ novel SEAL TEAM 666.
Below is a synopsis of the novel.
“Weston Ochse’s SEAL Team 666 follows Cadet Jack Walker. Halfway through SEAL training, he’s still green but showing incredible promise when he’s whisked away to join four SEALs—and their dog—for a special ops mission. Walker soon finds himself in a whirlwind of otherworldly creatures and events as he finds out the true nature of this “special ops” team: SEAL Team 666. Battling demons, possessed humans, mass-murdering cults, and evil in its most dark and primeval form, SEAL Team 666 has their work cut out for them. And it’s not long before they realize that the threat isn’t just directed against the U.S.—an ancient and deadly cult has bigger plans, and Walker is at the center of a supernatural conflict with the entire world at stake.”
The film will be made by MGM and Dwayne Johnson will also produce as well as star. No director is attached as yet, but it will be adapted by Evan Spiliotopoulos, who also wrote the upcoming Hercules that Johnson stars in.
Dwayne Johnson can next be seen in Hercules, but will follow that up with Fast & Furious 7 and Journey 3: From the Earth to the Moon. He recently starred in the based-on-a-true-story Michael Bay film Pain & Gain, read our review of it HERE.
