Rumours have started to circulate around the internet regarding Fox bringing and X-Men vs. Fantastic Four movie.
Seeing as Marvel and Disney have had huge success with their Marvel universe series of films, it looks like other studios are interested in following suit. Warner Bros. are already shaping up a DC world with Man of Steel and upcoming Batman vs. Superman and Justice League films, it now looks like Fox will do the same.
Fox owns the rights to both the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. The X-Men already have Days of Future Past coming out next year and then Apocalypse soon after that, and a Fantastic Four reboot is incoming too. Now, according to a report from the Motley Fool, a film pitting the X-Men against the Fantastic Four is becoming a reality too.
“Fox owns the rights to the Fantastic Four and the X-Men characters, who are among the most well-known comic book heroes of all time. After multiple movies in their respective franchises, Fox has now decided to combine the Fantastic Four and the X-Men for an ‘Avengers’ style movie that could pay off huge for shareholders.”
Could we see Wolverine, Professor X, Storm and Rogue taking on The Thing, Human Torch and Invisible Woman? If Fox have their way, the answer could very well be a resounding yes.
