Reports suggest that the two-time Oscar winning actor Christoph Waltz has signed up to play a role in Bond 24.
Bond 24 is set to start shooting any day now and will be released around the world in November 2015. Fans have been waiting with baited breath in regards to whom will be playing the villain of the piece. 12 Years A Slave’s Chiwetel Ejiofor was heavily rumoured to be going up against Daniel Craig’s 007, but that rumour seems to have fizzled out.
Now, according to The Daily Mail, Christoph Waltz will be playing a “complicated character” in the film; one that is neither full on bad guy nor friend of Bond.
Waltz has twice won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. He won the award for Inglorious Bastards and then for Django Unchained – both films were directed by Quinten Tarantino.
Bond 24, which is still without an official title, will again feature Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomi Harris in their respective roles of Bond, M, Q and Miss Moneypenny.
Sam Mendes returns to the director’s chair after his huge hit Skyfall that raked in over $1 billion worldwide.
