Cate Blanchett is all set to direct her very first feature film, as she is adapting the hit Herman Koch novel – The Dinner.
The 44-year old Australian actress is gearing up to direct her first feature film. Although she has never directed behind a camera before, she does have stage experience, having spent the last five years as co-artistic director at the Sydney Theatre Company with her husband Andrew Upton. 
The Dinner is based around two brothers in Amsterdam, with one running for Prime Minister of the Netherlands, when they find out that their sons have committed a terrible crime. It explores the lengths parents will go to to protect their children.
It is not known as yet regarding who will star in the film, or if Cate will take a part herself.
