Known for his remarkable turn as Walter White in the hit TV series Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston will now play Dalton Trumbo in the biopic Trumbo.
Bryan Cranston was already a busy man in television and films before Breaking Bad hit our screens in 2008, but the blue meth inventing cancer patient character has made him one of the most in demand actors on the planet.
Trumbo tells the true story of Dalton Trumbo, a Hollywood screenwriter who was sent to prison in the 1950’s for refusing to answer questions presented by Congress regarding un-American activities. Trumbo was then blacklisted from writing upon his release, yet still went on to win two Academy Awards under a pseudonym.
In recent years, Cranston has starred in Argo, Total Recall, Rock of Ages, John Carter and Drive. He will be seen in next year’s Godzilla reboot and rumours are still circulating regarding him playing Lex Luthor.
Breaking Bad is set to end at the end of this month – sadly.
