Four months have been knocked off our waiting time, as Marvel Phase 3 movie Ant-Man has been moved to July 2015.
Marvel films have been some of the biggest releases in recent years. The success of Iron Man and of The Avengers, the latter hitting over $1 billion in the box office, has helped make way for a multitude of characters to come forward with their own films. Ant-Man is no different. Having been planned by director Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish for five years, the wait for Ant-Man has been a long one, but we now have to wait only twenty months.
Ant-Man is about a superhero scientist who is able to change his size. The persona has been taken on by three people, yet the movie will concentrate on the original – Henry Pym.
Ant-Man was originally given a release date of November 2015, but it has now been moved to July 31st 2013. Marvel must be really confident in the Edgar Wright movie, as this new date is just two weeks after the release of Batman vs. Superman, and two months after The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
2015 looks set to be the biggest year for blockbusters ever! Due for a release in that year is Batman vs. Superman, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Jurassic Park IV, Avatar 2, Independence Day 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Terminator re-boot and of course Star Wars VII.
Regarding Ant-Man, no one has been cast as the superhero as yet
