Suspect arrested in Kuroko’s Basketball case

According to Anime News Network a 34 year old man, suspected of sending threatening letters, has been arrested. Previously, Kuroko’s Basketball related stock was said to be poisoned in said letters.

For a considerable amount of time threatening letters were sent to chain stores related to Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kuroko’s Basketball manga. This caused considerable damage to business operations due to cancelled events and removal of stock from threatened stores.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s 1st Investigation Section are believed to of arrested a 34 year old man, Hirofumi Watanabe, for ‘obstruction of business’. Upon getting arrested the police have stated the suspect told them “I’m sorry. I’ve lost.” The individual was arrested in Osaka City’s Higashinari ward this past Sunday.
