Judd Apatow has his next film lined up, as he will be directing Amy Schumer in the comedy Train Wreck.
Apatow hasn’t directed a film since the Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann starrer This is 40, but the man behind Knocked Up and The 40-Year Old Virgin will return with a tale of a troubled young woman trying to get her life back on track.
Train Wreck will be based on a script by American comedian Amy Schumer, who will also have the main role. Apatow has apparently been looking at potential actors for the movie throughout November and will look to shoot early next year for a 2015 release.
Amy Schumer can be seen in the television series ‘Inside Amy Schumer’ as well as many of the Comedy Roasts on Comedy Central.
There is no news regarding whether Apatow will once again feature his wife Leslie Mann in Train Wreck or his buddies Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill, but it is likely.
