The Drop trailer hits the ‘net

James Gandolfini’s final film before his untimely death is The Drop starring Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace. We have the trailer for it right here.

the dropSeptember 19th will see the release of The Drop in cinemas. Originally titled ‘Animal Rescue’, the film is based on a short story by Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Shutter Island) and directed by Michael Roskam.

Last year saw James Gandolfini sadly pass away. The actor is mostly known for his role of Tony Soprano in the hit TV series The Sopranos, but he has an extensive resume that includes many movies including True Romance, The Mexican, Get Shorty and Kill Them Softly.

Tom Hardy takes up the main role in The Drop. The British actor is currently one of the biggest names in film, thanks to roles in The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Bronson, Lawless, Warrior and Star Trek: Nemesis. He will also be seen soon in Mad Max: Fury Road and Splinter Cell.
