File this in the cabinet that is marked “really?” The advert for Olympus Has Fallen has been fined a whopping $1.9 million for misusing a government warning siren.
Yes, you read that right. The advert in question sees Gerald Butler trying to save the White House, whilst a government siren can be heard in between the words “This is not a Test”. According to reports, many Americans were confused and thought that a real national emergency was happening. It has not been reported if the same Americans thought that Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman were really trying to save the country.
