Mortal Kombat reboot director leaves project

October 26, 2013 By Carl Burgess Leave a Comment

It isn’t good news for fans of Mortal Kombat, as director Kevin Tancharoen has left the reboot project for pastures new.

After a decent first film back in 1995, fans of the video game series Mortal Kombat were subjected to some atrocious sequels. Then, after making a successful web series, it looked like Kevin Tancharoen was to be the man to make the series good again with a new reboot. mortal kombat

Sadly, this will no longer happen, as Tancharoen has tweeted he has left the project.

“After 3 years of Kombat, I’ve decided to move on to other creative opportunities. I wish everyone involved in the movie big success. Thanks!”

So, Tancharoen may no longer be directing, but his tweet suggests that the movie will still happen. Who would you like to see take over directorial duties?
