Fincher’s Gone Girl will have a different ending to the book

David Fincher’s new movie Gone Girl will have a different ending than that of the highly acclaimed novel by Gillian Flynn.

Don’t worry, there will be no spoilers regarding either ending (although we don’t know the movie’s ending to spoil). Gone Girl is a best-selling novel revolving around the disappearance of a man’s wife on the day of their fifth anniversary. Looking to mix things up a little, Fincher and co have decided to change the ending of the movie to keep the audiences guessing – even those who have read the book.

Fans of the book please don’t be too outraged as Gillian Flynn herself has wrote the screenplay and changed it herself. gone girl

“There was something thrilling about taking this piece of work that I’d spent about two years painstakingly putting together with all its eight million LEGO pieces and take a hammer to it and bash it apart and reassemble it into a movie,” Flynn said.

The movie will star Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Emily Ratajkowski and Tyler Perry. It is to be released this coming October. Fincher has also directed some fantastic movies like Se7en, Fight Club, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Game and Alien 3.

Ben Affleck has been photographed embracing Gone Girl co-star Rosamund Pike’s ‘dead’ body for the chilling cover of Entertainment Weekly magazine. The picture is supplied here.

We are looking forward to this one.
