Cobie Smulders has confirmed that she will be returning as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill in 2015’ The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
One of the stars of the hit television series How I Met Your Mother, Cobie Smulders has admitted that she will be featuring in the upcoming blockbuster The Avengers: Age of Ultron in an interview with the Calgary Herald.
“I think I’m in Avengers 2, but it is very top secret. I hope I’m in Avengers 2. I didn’t get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I’m in it but they don’t know to what degree I’m in it. 
“I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting.”
The bad guy she mentions is obviously Ultron, the super robot who wants to destroy mankind, including his inventor Henry Pym (Ant-Man).
Cobie Smulders also played Maria Hill in the pilot episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and will also be returning to the role in next year’s Captain America: Winter Soldier.
