The Agents of SHIELD returns with a fourth episode as the team looks into a series of mysterious robberies. Review after the jump.
Article may contain spoilers.
We start the episode in Stockholm, Sweden. A group of smartly dressed men wearing red masks with briefcases chained to their wrists make their way through the city and onto an underground train. A woman, who has been following the group, closes her eyes, before knocking out the train lights. When the train gets to a stop, everyone gets off in hysterics, as a conductor gets on to inspect the incident. He then sees all the masked men unconscious except for one who has had his arm severed and the briefcase missing.
Agent Coulson decides to look into the case and informs the team that this is just one occurrence in a series of high-end robberies. After looking into the facts a little more, he comes to realise that the culprit is a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was presumed killed in action years before.
Once again, this episode is a slight improvement on the last. We are getting to know the characters a little more and we still hear little more snippets of the vast universe the series lives in. We still are no clearer to what happened to Agent Coulson after Loki killed him in The Avengers movie though, but there are little clues here and there, with one character asking why “he’s changed?”
Let’s hope the series grows even more, it would also be a great idea to have a familiar villain play a big role over a few episodes to really test the new team.
