Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gets two new characters

In order to shake things up, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will introduce to new reoccurring characters to the fold as of episode 14.

Whilst it hasn’t been terrible, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has certainly been hit and miss since the show first aired. The producers of the show have come under fire for a few reasons – lack of known Marvel characters, the main cast being a little bland, lack of diversity and no huge storylines.

In order to put an end to some of that, two new characters will be introduced in episode 14 and will play a big part in the series. One will be an African/American agent who specialises in combat and weapons, and a high level agent who has a past with both Coulson and agent Ward. agents of s.h.i.e.l.d.

Actress Saffron Burrows was brought in recently to put a familiar face in the mix. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. recently had a tie-in with Thor: The Dark World, but it mainly only consisted of the gang cleaning up the mess left in Greenwich, England after the fight between Thor and the dark elves.

Whilst the two new characters will be very welcome, maybe they could introduce a character from Marvel’s phase 3 for a few episodes before they have their own movie, that way the T.V show will get a big name character and Marvel will already have a bigger fan-base for when their film hits the cinemas – i.e. Doctor Strange?

More on this when we have it.
