After starting last week’s episode in Sweden, we visit Japan at the beginning of Girl in the Flower Dress. A street performer attempts to make some money with some cheap parlour tricks and then shows a single woman a real trick, the ability to produce fire in his hands. After taking the woman back to his apartment, we find out that there is more to the woman than we realised and the magician is kidnapped. Agents of Shield

The Agents, who were already aware of the performer, find out about the kidnapping and come to the conclusion that Rising Tide may be involved.

Meanwhile, the street performer is promised of more powers by his kidnappers and he soon becomes a villain by the name of Scorch.

While we do get a villain in this episode, he doesn’t get chance to reach his full potential – Scorch could have become a true threat had they have given him the time to develop over the course of a couple of episodes.

One positive, is that this instalment lets us see more of Skye and her intentions – why she joined both S.H.I.E.L.D and Rising Tide.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad episode but it had the potential to be better.
