Pierce Brosnan has stated that he has been asked to star in The Expendables 4, and he is happy to to get involved.
He is known mostly for his time as James Bond in such films as Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day, now Pierce Brosnan could be joining the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham and Jet Li in the, as yet unannounced fourth instalment of The Expendables series. 
According to Pierce in an interview with ShortList Magazine, The Expendables producer Avi Lerner offered him a role in a future Expendables movie.
“The offer has come in for the next ‘Expendables’. I just worked over in Bulgaria with Avi Lerner who makes them. He said ‘Would you like to be in ‘The Expendables’? I’d love to have you’, and I said ‘Why not?’. So we’ll see.”
Pierce was asked what sequel it could be and he said he wasn’t sure, but for how long can these films really keep going? A fourth and last seems likely to us, but if the films keep doing well at the box office, they studio may want to keep churning them out.
The Expendables 3 is set to hit the cinemas this August and will see the usual return alongside newcomers Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson and Wesley Snipes.
