January 6, 2014 By Carl Burgess Leave a Comment

It looks like the much beloved comedy series The Mighty Boosh is the latest to be adapted to the big screen, as confirmed by the show’s stars.

With a cult-like following, The Mighty Boosh ran in the mid 00’s on the BBC and was known for its trippy humour and colourful characters. Now, with an interview with the Mail on Sunday, Noel Fielding and Julien Barratt have confirmed that they are working on a movie. the mighty boosh

‘We’re going on tour early in the New Year,’ Fielding told the Mail on Sunday, with Barratt adding: ‘We’ll be working on material that hopefully could make a movie. We want to make something great for the fans.’

This isn’t the first time that Fielding has talked about the possibility of making a movie on The Mighty Boosh, he stated similar in an interview on XFM.

‘A film is the first thing we ever wanted to do, so we’ve always come up with ideas and stuck them in a drawer. Now comedy films like Shaun of the Dead have really opened a lot of doors.

‘We wanna make something pretty epic like The Wizard of Oz; something huge and psychedelic with lots of music and animation in it – a big epic fantasy world.’
