Saul Zaentz dies aged 92

Three-time Oscar winning producer Saul Zaentz has died at his home in San Francisco. He was aged 92 years young.

Following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Saul Zaentz has sadly passed away. Zaentz won three Oscars for the films One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Amadeus and The English Patient. He also received the Academy’s Irving G Thalberg Award in 1997. saul zaentz Saul Zaentz dies aged 92

Before a career as a movie producer, Zaentz was also successful in the music industry. Zaentz worked at Fantasy Records and championed Creedence Clearwater Revival before famously going to war in the courts with the band’s lead singer John Fogerty.
