Rumours are circulating that Disney are looking to reboot the Indiana Jones series and Bradley Cooper is the name they want to replace Harrison Ford.
Indiana Jones is one of the greatest characters ever in cinema, so it is no surprise that Disney want to give the series a reboot. Although Harrison Ford has stated that he wanted to wear the fedora one more time, at 71 years of age, it is now looking unlikely.
Disney acquired Lucasfilm last year and, according to Latino Review, they have a list of actors who could headline the new series. The list is apparently headed by Bradley Cooper.
Cooper has become one of the biggest stars on the planet in recent years, mostly thanks to his star turns in American Hustle, The A-Team, The Hangover and Silver Linings Playbook. He will be the voice of Rocket Racoon in this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
Ford is to once again play Han Solo in the new Star Wars film that starts shooting in April for a Christmas 2015 release.
Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade are all classic adventure films featuring Indiana Jones. The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a huge let down. Let’s hope the reboot is closer to the first trilogy than the last instalment.
