The first film may only be released and unleashed onto our cinema screens next week, but Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has already been announced for 2017.

With Marvel announcing this week that nine dates from now until 2019 have been booked for major films from their cinematic universe, many fans have been questioning what they could possibly be. Doctor Strange, Thor 3 and Captain America 3 were already announced and Avengers 3 is a given. Early reviews have suggested that Guardians of the Galaxy is the best Marvel movie to date, even beating the likes of Iron Man, Avengers Assemble and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Marvel must really have high hopes for the property as announcing a sequel before they have seen any kind of box office receipt is a huge gamble. Yet, like us, we feel the film will rake in a lot of money.

You can bet that the A-holes will be back in full force, with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper returning; yet the villains is just a guess at this moment, but we think Josh Brolin’s Thanos will feature heavily.
